Kiddush Sponsor:
On Shabbos , December 7th, correlating to the 6th of Kislev, we will be commemorating the first yahrzeit of our dear friend, Arthur Ritholtz, Mordechai Yidel ben Baruch Leib HaKohen A”H.
For those who were fortunate enough to know Arthur, his presence was always felt whenever he entered a room. His infectious smile and laugh, along with his storytelling, left a lasting impression on everyone. Arthur and his family joined Young Israel shortly after its formation, and from that moment on, they became integral to the synagogue's growth. Arthur, along with the entire Ritholtz family, contributed to the tefilot, daily minyanim, and every other aspect of the community.
As a Gabbai, Arthur became a friend to everyone—no small feat in that role. In his later years, he continued to serve as a Baal Tefilah on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, as well as a Baal Tokea. Every act he performed for the shul came from his deep love for the people and the community.
This Shabbos, many of Arthur's friends and those whose lives he touched have come together to sponsor a Kiddush for the entire shul in his memory, marking his Yahrzeit. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten. Y'hey Nishmo Baruch.
